Coffee selectionThe most important thing to remember with coffee is freshness. Sometimes in the shop, you may well find that certain coffee beans are not available, this is because we only have our beans roasted at the very last moment, so that they are as fresh as possible when you buy them.
Our selection of coffee beans (all arabica) comes from 3 continents: Africa, America and Asia. The following gives an idea of what to expect from the beans that we have in stock:
An excellent mokka bean from southern Ethiopia. Produces a mild coffee with a fine aroma and a good full body. Great to drink pure.
High grown Kenian arabica. The coffee has a full sharp taste, great to drink with milk.
The best from Guatemala! Full aroma, good body. Spicy with a hint of cocoa. Drink it on its own!
Quality from the Tarrazu district. This washed bean gives a fragrant, full but mild coffee, with a light citrus scent. Good to drink black or with milk.
A carefully produced Brazilian bean grown at 1,800-2,000 metres height on the mountain plains. The coffee is soft and works well on its own or as a mild espresso. Also a great base to add other coffees to make the perfect espresso.
Strong but well balanced coffee with a full sharp taste. Especially good with milk or for cappuccinos.
Experts claim this to be the heaviest coffee in the world! From north west Sumatra. Deep taste, a coffee whose presence lingers in the mouth.
This grade 1 bean from south west Sulawesi is the aristocrat of Indonesian coffee: strong, supple, earthy and a little sweet. Drink it pure.
An Italian style blend of arabica beans. Lightly roasted for a milder espresso.
Darker roasted version for the lovers of a more lively, sharper espresso!
Box of 18 individually packed servings for espresso machines with the E.S.E. (Easy Serving Espresso). Because they are packed individually, the last serving is as fresh as the first.
